Jointly organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the second Belt and Road Summit was held on 11 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The second edition of the Summit attracted more than 3,000 key representatives of international institutions, business and industry leaders from various countries. D&G Technology participated in the Summit again, and our Executive Director and CEO, Ms Glendy Choi, was invited to be one of the speakers at a breakout forum to share her perspective on capturing the vast business opportunities presented by the Initiative.
Under the theme of “From Vision to Action”, the participants can join the investment and business matching sessions to explore cooperation and realize the Summit’s theme. There were project presentations, one-to-one business matching meetings and an exhibition area that showcased various professional services.
D&G Technology has done a lot of work in the “Action” aspect and has made some progress. For example, the Group has been actively involved in the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”, a key project of Belt and Road Initiative since three years ago. The Company has now gradually extended its operations to local operations following the supply of equipment and technical support for large construction enterprises in China. The Group has set up branch office in Pakistan to provide other value-added services to its customers, including upstream and downstream business such as asphalt imports and supporting modified asphalt processing services, and provision of operation lease of equipment for local customers.
The Group will continue to adopt a comprehensive international expansion strategy, and leverage our success in the PRC to expand into overseas markets.
