D&G Technology sponsored the 3rd Anniversary Charity Dinner of Learning Bridge to support the employment of neurodivergent youth

D&G Technology has been actively participating in public welfare initiatives, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, and supporting the construction of a more diverse and inclusive sustainable society. The company is honored to be the diamond sponsor of the 3rd anniversary charity dinner of Learning Bridge Association.

The dinner, themed "Unleashing Brilliance", was held grandly on June 28th. During the event, there was also an art auction, and all proceeds will be used to support the work of Learning Bridge.

Learning Bridge is a registered charity in Hong Kong, dedicated to creating employment opportunities for neurodivergent youth and helping them integrate into the workplace and realize their self-worth. D&G Technology's generous sponsorship demonstrates the company's active commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the underprivileged groups.

Hong Kong Green Day 2024 Kick-off Ceremony was held on June 5. D&G Technology has been the sponsor of Hong Kong Green Day for nine consecutive years, Mr. Alban Yeung, CFO of the Group, attended the Launch Ceremony and served as a guest in the ceremony. D&G Machinery promoted the concept of energy conservation to the students

It was also World Environment Day that day. D&G Machinery, wholly-owned subsidiary of D&G Technology located in Langfang, Hebei Province also responded to environmental protection by jointly held an event with the Central School of Yongqing County Economic Development Zone. The publicity staff of D&G Machinery explained to the students what World Environment Day is and encouraged them to save water, electricity, paper and travel in a low-carbon way in their daily lives. Several interactive games were also set up during the event to promote the concept of energy conservation.

EARTH HOUR campaign for 12 consecutive years

D&G Technology has participated in the “Earth Hour” campaign for 12 consecutive years

"Earth Hour" is the world's largest environmental protection action, receiving participation and support from all walks of life every year. It is also an environmental protection initiative that D&G Technology has adhered to for 12 years. On March 23, 2024, D&G Technology employees actively participated in this one-hour lights-off campaign, lighting up their beliefs with candlelight, protecting their homes with actions, and practicing a sustainable lifestyle!

From 20:30 to 21:30, all unnecessary lights were turned off for one hour in company properties, factories, offices, employee dormitories, and employees’ homes everywhere. D&G Technology once again expressed our support for environmental protection with practical actions. Many employees responded to the company's appeal and became supporters of "Earth Hour" to decompress the earth and speak out for nature.

D&G Technology has always attached great importance to environmental protection. While creating economic value for society, it always pays attention to environmental protection issues. Over the years, D&G Technology has continuously developed and designed a variety of high-efficiency and energy-saving equipment, including Monoblock Recycling Plant, Eco series Asphalt Mixing Plant, RAP Asphalt Crusher & Screener, etc., which are all strong support for environmental protection. D&G Technology won the first runner-up in Green Run 2024

D&G Technology formed a team to participate in Green Run 2024, a charity race event organized by Green Council. The event was held on 25 February 2024. D&G Technology participated 3km Green Corporate Team Race. All team members wore in green or with green accessories to express their full support for the event. Ms Glendy Choi, CEO of the Group, was also present at the event to support the team and we were pleased that D&G team won the first runner-up in the corporate charity race.

The aims of Green Run are to raise the awareness of the public in climate change and carbon emission. D&G Technology supports the event to encourage its staff as well as people of all walks of life to practice environmental protection through running activities.

D&G Technology has always supported the concept of sustainable development and actively participated in and supported different types of green activities to support environmental protection with actions. D&G Technology has sponsored Green Carnival since 2017. Organized by Green Council, the 20th Green Carnival was held on 28 January 2024 at Kowloon Park. This is the eighth consecutive year that D&G Technology has sponsored this event. Ms Glendy Choi, CEO of the group, attended the event’s opening ceremony. On the day of the event, there were many booths and performances by different educational groups, which attracted many visitors.

The Group won the “Corporate Green Governance Award – Management System” in Hong Kong Green Awards 2023. The awards ceremony was held on 30 November 2023.

Established by the Green Council in 2010, Hong Kong Green Awards aims to recognize organizations that have outstanding environmental performance.

Since 2016, D&G Technology has been awarded this “Corporate Green Governance Award” for eight consecutive years. The award has been reaffirmed by D&G Technology's commitment to green governance. D&G Technology has always attached great importance to environmental issues. It has published its first sustainability report since its listing in 2015, and has published 8 reports so far. In recent years, it has also linked its core business and actions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopting the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for daily business practices. D&G Technology has obtained many substainability-related awards these years. In August 2023, D&G Technology was awarded the "UNSDG Achievement Awards Hong Kong 2023 – Sustainable Organisation Bronze Award" by Green Council, in recognition of its outstanding performance in business practices and sustainable development and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. This is an affirmation of the Group's performance in sustainable development. Ms Glendy Choi, CEO of D&G Technology, attended the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of the company on 24 August. In the future, the Group will continue to work hard to formulate different strategies and actions to make greater contributions to sustainable development.

World Environment Day

It was also World Environment Day that day. The Group's production base in Langfang, Hebei Province also responded to environmental protection by carrying out internal publicity in the production base on June 2 in advance. Through the D&G Parent-Child Carnival activities, together with the promotion of World Environment Day, including posters and display boards, parent-child games related to environmental protection, and arranged in advance for a number of colleagues’ children to record their own videos promoting the implementation of low-carbon living and green mobility, D&G Technology encourages everyone to respond to environmental protection with daily actions.

March 25, 2023 is the Earth Hour light-off day that D&G Technology has insisted on for 11 years. The theme of this year's Earth Hour event is: Habits Protect Habitats. D&G Technology employees actively participated in this one-hour lights-off campaign, illuminating their beliefs with candlelight, protecting their homes with actions, and practicing a sustainable lifestyle!

To further demonstrate D&G Technology's commitment to environmental protection and charity, the Group formed a team to participate in Green Run 2022 which was organized by Green Council. This is the fourth time D&G Technology joined the charity run. The team altogether finished 50km run on 20 Dec 2022 and we are pleased that our team won the 2nd runner-up in the charity run. Ms Glendy Choi, CEO of the Group, attended the award presentation ceremony on 15 Jan 2023.

Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the event went virtual again this year. The aims of Green Run are to raise the awareness of the public in climate change and carbon emission. D&G Technology supports the event to encourage its staff as well as people of all walks of life to practice environmental protection through running activities.

D&G Technology has sponsored Green Carnival since 2017. Organized by Green Council, the 19th Green Carnival was held on 15 January 2023 at Kowloon Bay CIC – Zero Carbon Park. Ms Glendy Choi, CEO of the group, attended the event’s opening ceremony. On the day of the event, there were many booths and performances by different educational groups, which attracted many visitors. The "Green Run 2022" award ceremony was held and Ms. Choi received the third runner-up trophy and certificate on behalf of the group.

D&G Technology supports “No Air Con Night 2022”

Hong Kong No Air Con Night is a territory-wide annual energy saving event organised by Green Sense since 2010. This year is the twelfth year. The event is to promote the wise use of air conditioning, to make the public understand the importance of reducing the use of air conditioners and saving energy, in order to lower the emission of greenhouse gases.

D&G Technology, has always attached great importance to environmental protection. In order to promote sustainable development and improve colleagues' environmental awareness, the company supports and encourages employees to support and respond to this event. Employees and their family members were invited to register on the "No Air Con Night 2022" event website and promise to "Turn off the air con when the outdoor temperature is below 27 degrees Celsius at night” on 7th Oct. And they will promise to use the air conditioner wisely as well – turn off the air conditioner when unnecessary or when the outdoor temperature is below 27 degrees Celsius, so as to contribute to the protection of the environment. More than half of the employees at the company’s headquarters supported this event and made a pledge.

Kick-off ceremony of Hong Kong Green Day 2022 was held on 5 June. D&G Technology has been one of the sponsors for seven consecutive years. Ms. Glendy Choi, CEO of the Group, attended the ceremony. Besides, the Company encouraged all employees to participate at “Wear Green Action” on 5 June to show their support.

That day was also World Environment Day. The Group's production base in Langfang, Hebei also responded to environmental protection, Internal propaganda was also carried out in the production facility in Langfang Hebei on 2 June, including publicity posters and exhibition boards. Employees were urged to sign for a pledge to take daily actions to deal with environmental protection. In addition, an environmental protection knowledge quiz activity was organized, and those who answered correctly will receive "carbon points", which will be included in the personal annual carbon points, in order to win the "Best low-carbon emission reduction expert" in the annual carbon points evaluation activity organized by the company. We believe that the accumulation of environmental protection knowledge will play a vital role in the development of good behavior and habits in the future. Advocating the concept of green environmental protection, cultivating a healthy lifestyle, learning, publicizing, implementing, and implementing, this is our future work instruction. On Mar 26, 2022, D&G Technology participated at Earth Hour 2022 campaign. All unnecessary lights were switched off at the company premises, production facilities, offices and many staff families for one hour from 20:30-21:30 to show our support for action on climate change. This was the tenth consecutive year that D&G Technology has participated in the “Earth Hour” campaign. The campaign participation highlights the corporate and individuals efforts and supports on energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction. Many staff responded to the company’s participation and became supporters of “Earth Hour”.

Over the years, D&G Technology has always attached the importance to environmental protection. We create economic value for the society, at the same time, we still concern about environmental issues. In recent years, the Company has developed Monoblock Recycling plant and Eco series Asphalt Mixing Plant. This is the strong support to environmental protection. A Day with Dignity Kitchen

D&G Technology has always cared about the community and valued social corporate responsibility. On Dec 14th, the Company arranged its HK staff to participate in the volunteer service of Dignity Kitchen. Dignity Kitchen is a sustainable social enterprise established in 2019 and headquartered in Singapore. HK Dignity Kitchen mainly conducts formal training in food preparation and cooking for differently abled persons with special needs. The training covers culinary skills, safety and hygiene practices and customer engagement. Some trainees work at Dignity Kitchen, and the rest are arranged for job matching, so that people with physical disabilities or the disadvantaged groups with weaker abilities can support themselves and contribute to society. In addition, Dignity Kitchen also provides lunch and other social activities opportunities for the elderly.

This volunteer service includes making cookies, understanding the operation of Dignity Kitchen, assisting in preparing lunch boxes, and distributing lunch boxes to those in need. The Company hopes that D&G staff can do their best for the community, support the disadvantaged, and assist those in need by participating in this meaningful volunteer activity.

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year. That day is also Hong Kong Green Day. D&G Technology has been one of the sponsors for six consecutive years. Though there was no onsite kick-off ceremony of Hong Kong Green Day this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, D&G Technology still fully supported this event. The Company has participated in the Green Pledge of Hong Kong Green Day 2021 and is committed to shaping a green office environment and spreading green messages to the community, including:

  • Saving energy
  • Conserving water
  • Enhancing efficiency of resource use and implementing reuse and recycling
  • Encouraging our staff members to live green
  • Spreading the green messages to other organizations and the community to promote sustainable development in Hong Kong

The 18th Green Carnival 2021, organized by the Green Council, was held online from 29 Mar till 11 Apr. D&G Technology has been the sponsor of this event for five consecutive years. The event was held online for the first time this year. The group had an online booth on the event website to share the group’s environmental protection measures. In addition to the online booths, there were a number of green teaching videos, prize-winning quiz games, and online green knowledge challenges, etc., in order to attract citizens and students to pay attention to and support environmental protection.
