D&G Technology actively supports “Earth Hour 2018”

On Mar 24, 2018, D&G Technology actively participated at Earth Hour by encouraging all our staff to support this worldwide lights-off campaign. All unnecessary lights were switched off at all our company premises, production facilities, offices and staff family for one hour from 20:30-21:30 to show our support for action on climate change. The campaign participation highlights the corporate and individuals efforts and supports on “energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction”.

One hour of darkness shows our support for action on climate changes. Let’s work together to create a beautiful home.

Earth Hour 2018

A 100-watt light consumes 0.1 kWh in one hour, which is equivalent to quite 35g of standard coal consumption, 87g of carbon dioxide emissions, 2.6g of sulfur dioxide, 1.3g NOx, 24g of toner dust. Over the years, D&G Technology has always attached the importance to environmental protection. We create economic value for the society, at the same time, we still concern about environmental issues. In recent years, the Company newly developed Monoblock Recycling plant, Eco series asphalt mixing plant, etc. This is the strong support to environmental protection.

D&G Technology participated at Green Run 2018

To further demonstrate D&G Technology's commitment to environmental protection and charity, the Group formed a team to participate in the "Green Run" 2018 on 14 January 2018. The event was organized by Green Council. The competition venue is located at Pak Shek Kok promenade in Shatin. There are a number of charity events and the Group took part in the 2.5-kilometer x4 Green Corporate Relay Race. The staff take the initiative to promote the green lifestyle.

The aims of Green Run 2018 are to promote public awareness of environmental protection and practice of environmental protection and habitat and to encourage people of all walks of life to practice environmental protection through wholesome running activities. The net income of the activities will be fully allocated for environmental protection education and waste management research and promotion projects organized by Green Council.

D&G Technology won “Hong Kong Green Awards 2017” – “Corporate Green Governance Award”

D&G Technology was firstly awarded the “Hong Kong Green Awards” – “Corporate Green Governance Award” in 2016. It won “Corporate Green Governance Award – Corporate Vision” award this year. The awards ceremony was held on 1 December 2017.

The "Hong Kong Green Awards" is an awarding event organized by the Green Council to encourage local enterprises to incorporate environmental considerations, environmental responsibility and environmental management systems into their operations and to recognize their continued improvement and leadership performance. The Corporate Green Governance Award recognizes the commitment of large enterprises in the five areas of leadership, mission, management systems, environmental monitoring and reporting, and stakeholders, as well as their integration of environmental considerations into daily operations. .

This "Corporate Green Governance Award" has been reaffirmed by D&G Technology's commitment to green governance. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to incorporate environmental, safety and health considerations in decision-making, accountability, management, performance, sustainability and leadership in the operation. We will strive to build a positive image, continue to strengthen green governance and become exemplary Green enterprise.

D&G Machinery hosted the 8th China Asphalt Plant Summit (CAPS) successfully

The 8th China Asphalt Plant Summit (CAPS) was held on November 11, 2017 in Langfang Ovation Hotel. The event was organized by the China Construction Machinery Association, Road Construction Machinery Chapter. Langfang D&G Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of D&G Technology, is the rotating chair of the summit and therefore co-organized the event.

The theme of the summit is “Unity, Consensus, Confidence and Leadership”. The summit was held in a warm, united and friendly atmosphere. Mr Zhang Xi-nong, secretary-general of Road Construction Machinery Chapter, presided over the opening ceremony. Ms Glendy Choi, General Manager of D&G Machinery, presided over the summit report, summit organization and summit discussion. Mr Zhang Xi-nong made a report on “Development of Asphalt Mixing Plant Industry”. Dr Wang Hong-chang, an expert from the Air Pollution Control Centre of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, gave a special report on “Policies and Techniques for Air Pollution Control”. The summit unanimously agreed to issue the “Proposal on Promoting the Sound Development of Asphalt Mixing Plant Industry” to the whole industry.

Afterwards, the delegates visited the production facilities of D&G Machinery. Everyone greatly appreciated the clean and orderly production environment and the well-organized management of the Company. After the visit, delegates continued to discuss topics of common concern. In the evening, the delegates conducted in-depth exchanges on the topics and issues that everyone concerned at the tea academy. This summit was a great success. It further enhanced the friendship and unity among leaders of the Summit members, and to lay a solid foundation for the continuous and steady development of China's asphalt mixing plant industry.

D&G Technology has participated at Eco Expo Asia 2017, a trade fair organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organized by the Environment Bureau of the Government of HKSAR, dedicated to fostering global green innovations. The exhibition embraces a theme of “Innovative Solutions for Greener Cities”. The exhibition was held from 26-29 Oct at Asia World-Expo Hong Kong. D&G Technology joined the Green Council Pavilion to showcase the green practices and green achievements of the Company and the features of D&G’s asphalt recycling plant at the booth.

D&G Technology supports the International Coastal Cleanup Hong Kong Campaign again

Following last year's support for the International Coastal Cleanup Hong Kong Campaign, on 29th September, D&G Technology was again involved in this global event organized by the Ocean Conservancy to encourage Hong Kong employees to participate in the cleanup of Starfish Bay in Wu Kai Sha. Seemingly beautiful beach is full of different types of rubbish. More than 70kg of rubbish was collected during this activity that day, much more than last year. The Group hopes that by supporting this meaningful campaign, it will arouse the determination of employees and the public to support environmental conservation.

D&G Technology was awarded the Caring Certificate of “Industry Cares” 2017 recognition scheme. This is a corporate social responsibility recognition scheme organized by Federation of Hong Kong Industries. The scheme is to praise those enterprises which had outstanding performance in Corporate Social Responsibility over the past year. D&G Technology attaches importance to corporate social responsibility and has participated in a number of activities related to corporate social responsibility in the past year, including sponsoring and supporting Hong Kong Green Day activities, participating in the International Coastal Cleanup Campaign, and arranging colleagues to be volunteers at Food Angel. The Group does not forget to fulfill the corporate social responsibility during its business development. We try to support and participate in different types of community obligations or environmental activities, and focus on its direction of sustainable development.

T50 Summit of World Construction Machinery Industry, jointed organized by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, the American Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Korea Construction Machinery Manufacturers Association, was held in Beijing on 18 September. D&G Machinery, the wholly subsidiary of D&G Technology, was invited to attend the summit and obtained a number of awards. The Company has been selected as the Top 50 China Construction Machinery Manufacturers for seven consecutive years since 2011. This year D&G Machinery ranks the 20th of the “China Top 30 Construction Machinery Manufacturer 2017”. The Company was also awarded the “World Top 100 (Plus 50) Construction Machinery Manufacturer” for the first time. In addition, the General Manager of D&G Machiery, Ms Glendy Choi, was obtained the title of the “100 Most Influential Persons of China Construction Machinery Industry”. As a scientific and technological innovation-oriented enterprise, D&G Machinery has been focusing on providing high-end, energy saving and environmental-friendly asphalt mixing plants. Up to now, more than 500 units of D&G asphalt mixing plants have been exported to 26 countries and regions and we have won the recognition of global customers.

Jointly organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the second Belt and Road Summit was held on 11 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The second edition of the Summit attracted more than 3,000 key representatives of international institutions, business and industry leaders from various countries. D&G Technology participated in the Summit again, and our Executive Director and CEO, Ms Glendy Choi, was invited to be one of the speakers at a breakout forum to share her perspective on capturing the vast business opportunities presented by the Initiative.

Under the theme of “From Vision to Action”, the participants can join the investment and business matching sessions to explore cooperation and realize the Summit’s theme. There were project presentations, one-to-one business matching meetings and an exhibition area that showcased various professional services.

D&G Technology has done a lot of work in the “Action” aspect and has made some progress. For example, the Group has been actively involved in the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”, a key project of Belt and Road Initiative since three years ago. The Company has now gradually extended its operations to local operations following the supply of equipment and technical support for large construction enterprises in China. The Group has set up branch office in Pakistan to provide other value-added services to its customers, including upstream and downstream business such as asphalt imports and supporting modified asphalt processing services, and provision of operation lease of equipment for local customers.

The Group will continue to adopt a comprehensive international expansion strategy, and leverage our success in the PRC to expand into overseas markets.

D&G Technology announces positive profit alert

D&G Technology Holding Company Limited (“D&G Technology” or the “Group”; Stock code: 1301.HK), a leading medium-to-large scale asphalt mixing plant manufacturer and service provider in China, is pleased to announce that the Group expects its profit attributable to the equity shareholders of the Company for the six months ended 30 June 2017 to increase by approximately 53% as compared to the same period last year.

The increase is mainly due to the increase in revenue by approximately 46% and partly offset by the increase in distribution costs and research and development expenses. The increase in revenue was primarily attributable to the increase in demand of asphalt mixing plants resulting from the increase in road construction projects both in China and overseas countries. In particular, the demand for recycling asphalt mixing plants in China increased significantly, due to the advocacy of the national environmental protection policies in China.

Ms. Glendy Choi, CEO and Executive Director of the Group, said, “Investment in infrastructure is one of the key drivers of economic growth and we are glad to see the increase in road construction projects not only in China but also along the One Belt One Road countries. D&G Technology won the “Best Performance Award” in two scopes of COOL Corporate Membership Scheme 2016/17

D&G Technology has joined the “COOL Corporate Membership Scheme 2016/17” established by the Friends of the Earth (HK) to step up its efforts on environmental awareness and reduction of carbon emission. The Awards Presentation Ceremony for COOL Corporate Membership Scheme was held on 20 July 2017. The Group has registered four out of five scopes of the scheme and was honored to obtain the Best Performance Award in two scopes after a whole year’s participation. It is definitely a recognition to the Group’s effort and contribution on environmental awareness and CSR. The Group will continue to leave its eco-friendly footprint by actively supporting and participating in activities organized by environmental organizations.

The Forum was held on 7 Jun 2017, about 500 people attended, including students, professionals and young businessmen. It was live webcasted and broadcasted to the schools so that more students who cannot attend can also listen. Ms. Glendy Choi, CEO of D&G Technology, was one of the four invited speakers who shared their experiences in the "Belt and Road" regions at the Forum. They encouraged young people to walk out of Hong Kong and look to the world.

At the sharing meeting, Ms. Choi mentioned the Group's efforts and presented the Group's participation in the construction of the "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor", which was the first of its kind in Hong Kong's small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in this remarkable project. The Group's asphalt mixing plants were equipped with environmental protection and energy-saving features, have been exported to 23 overseas countries in the world market, including Russia, India, the Middle East and other countries. Since the products can reduce the environmental impact of the surrounding community and help achieve sustainable development, the products are very popular in those Belt and Road countries.

Ms. Choi also elaborated on the difficulties faced by the Group in entering overseas markets, as well as some experience gained from development. She encouraged the forum participants to self-equip themselves in order to explore the world. Difficulties may be encountered during the process, and it is important to constantly adjust to adapt. In addition to have excellent product quality and after-sales service, one must be good at seizing the opportunity and be persistence.

Green Council marked June 5 as Hong Kong Green Day five years ago. Every year it organizes a series of environmental activities to disseminate the message of environmental protection. Last year D&G Group was the sponsor of Hong Kong Green Day 2016. The Group is a sponsor of Hong Kong Green Day 2017 again this year. Ms. Sandra Ng, Assistant to CEO of D&G Technology, attended the Kick-off ceremony of Hong Kong Green Day 2017 on behalf of the Group. The Group has been supporting environmental protection, in addition to research and development of environmentally friendly asphalt mixture plants, various environmental measures are implemented in daily production, operation and management so as to achieve sustainable development of the Group.

D&G Technology has always attached importance to environmental protection and is committed to the research and development of asphalt recycling plants with environmental friendly and energy saving features. Products have been exported to various Belt and Road regions and countries, including India, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Kazakhstan, Thailand, etc. Energy saving measures have also been implemented in production and daily operation. BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards is organized by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and BOCHK. Last year is the first time the Group participated and won the “Belt and Road Environmental Leadership Recognition Award” and “EcoChallenger”. This year the Group once again obtained the “EcoChallenger” award.

The award is in recognition of the outstanding performance of the Group’s contribution to the promotion of environmental protection. The awards ceremony was held on 1 Jun 2017 and was officiated by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr CY Leung.

The First Advanced International Conference on “The Belt and Road” Industry and Finance, jointly organized by the Silk Road Planning Research Center, the National Cooperation and Reform Center of China National Development and Reform Commission, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Ernst & Young, was held in Beijing on May 15, 2017. Ms. Glendy Choi, CEO of D&G Technology, was also invited to participate in the conference. At the conference, government officials from China, France, Japan, Egypt, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Austria and more than 20 countries, along with elite from the industry and the financial sector discussed the development plan and shared their industry financial cooperation experience.

As a Hong Kong enterprise, D&G Tecnology has been devoted to the construction of "Belt and Road", especially in the "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor" in the road construction. D&G Technology obtained high customer recognition with its high-performance, high-quality, cost-effective products. We hope to show our support to environmental protection by action. Many staff responded to the Company’s appeal and became Earth Hour supporters. One hour of darkness, we saw the most beautiful stars; one hour of quietness, we spent the most beautiful time. Let’s work together to create a beautiful home.

Earth Hour 2017

Earth Hour 2017“Earth Hour”, started in 2007 in Sydney, is an initiative of the WWF to deal with global climate change. People are encouraged to turn off all their non-essential lights for one hour to show their support action on climate change.

This year Earth Hour falls on March 25. D&G Technology as a green advocate, we have a sense of responsibility and mission to protect the earth. Apart from making our pledge to support the event, the Company once again encourage all the staff from various offices to participate in this meaningful environmental event that day. We hope to use our practical action to protect our common home!
